Qampa Climbing 2 Day Itinerary <\/span><\/h4>\n

During this Qampa Climbing 2 Day Trip, you will explore the most remote area of the Peruvian Andes, from stunning turquoise lakes to snowcapped mountains that offer different breathtaking vistas in the Vilcanota range.<\/p>\n

Day 1. Cusco \u2013 Tinke – Pacchanta – Base Camp <\/span><\/h5>\n

We leave Cusco in the morning (approximately 6:00 a.m.) in our private van and arrive in Tinke. First, we have a short stop to purchase some items that we could need on this tour. From there, we keep driving to the community of Pacchanta (4,136 m). Once there, we will start our hiking towards base camp (4,800m) with our arriero carrying the equipment on a horse. The trail (9km) passes through several green-blue lagoons at the foot of Nevado Ausangate<\/a> and many herds of alpacas before arriving at the base camp close to the Qampa Pass (5,000m).<\/p>\n

Day 2. Base Camp – Summit \u2013 Pacchanta \u2013 Cusco <\/span><\/h5>\n

Today we wake up at 3:30 a.m. and leave the camp by 4 a.m.Arriving at the summit by 7 a.m., we can enjoy the views for an hour or so before returning to base camp for breakfast. After breakfast, we will walk back to Pacchanta and go to the thermal baths for a couple hours. In the afternoon, we will go back to Cusco in our private van.<\/p>\n
