Salkantay Trek FAQs

Is there any option to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountains?
Yes, when you hike on the Salkantay Trek, you will visit Machu Picchu on the final day. After your guided tour, you will be able to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain. For these, you need to book in advance the ticket that allows you to climb one of these mountains.
